Colour Selections

I have been waiting for our colour selections appointment ever since we paid our deposit to MJH. After many sleepless nights and hours spent reading blogs and trawling through pictures on Pintrest; we went to our full day appointment with a pretty clear idea of what we wanted our home to look like...
All of our choices stemmed from one thing- the colour of the carpet. We had or hearts set on charcoal carpet- it is practical, on trend and looks good.
During our first colour walkthrough, we explained to our consultant that we were keen on the charcoal carpet. Our only worry was making it work with the rest of the house. She explained to us that having elements of the charcoal throughout the house would make it work.

Next we thought about the kitchen. Having read hundreds of home styling magazines I realised that I liked a lot of different styles. However, one thing that stood out was the white base. We decided on a white kitchen and to incorporate the charcoal, we found some great pictures of charcoal splashbacks (his idea).
We knew that we wanted a timber floor, but due to budget and not liking the idea of scratched bamboo flooring, we decided that we would use vinyl planks with a timber look.
This picture is similar to the look that we are going for: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/88/f2/95/88f2955a985e3edac0bf34ca98088a3c.jpg

The choice of bathroom colours was the hardest to make. We had found so many pictures of bathrooms that we loved. We wanted something that was a little different to the display homes, but still working with the standard inclusions for our package. It is so hard to be sure without seeing it all together! We hope that the colours look a bit like this: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/47/8a/8d/478a8d08c63e492fdd2bc45a5588c2a9.jpg
