Plumbing completed!

We got a text today to say that the painting was complete.  We went to have a look tonight to check it out. We were delighted to see that the tap in the kitchen had been installed...and was working! The plumbing in both bathrooms and the laundry was also done. Everything looks great.

The front door stain didn't look complete and a couple of downpipes were still not painted. The gas hot water has been installed too. We also have toilets!!! I love it all!

Tiles and paint!

It has been a busy few weeks! The tiling was completed last weekend and looks fantastic! The painters started on Monday and everything looks awesome and homely! I was like a child at Christmas when I saw everything.
We are really happy with how everything is looking. The colours work well together. It's fantastic being able to see it all come together finally!!!
We bought 2 new lounges and an ottoman today to go in our living area. It took us forever to make the decision. Let's hope it was the right one!

Kitchen bench is installed

We decided to take a look at the house on Saturday. We were so happy to see our gorgeous kitchen bench installed. I love the shimmer in it. The tops for the bathrooms have been cut and are waiting to be installed.

We are meeting the SS and tiler on site early tomorrow morning and the tiler will start after that. Apparently he has a couple of guys working with him so it should be done in a week. The SS mentioned that he could book the painters for next week. Fingers crossed it all kerps moving along quickly...and smoothly!

We realised on Saturday that we are going to need a MASSIVE lounge for our living area at the back of the house. We have a lounge already that we bought ages ago ready for this house. However,  it's not going to fill the huge space that we have. It will be fine in our theatre room though. Hopefully we find something big with a small price tag!

Tiles delivered and water proofing started

We heard from our SS yesterday. He gave us a quick rundown of what should happen before the house is completed. It's good to have some idea of what happens next and how long everything should take.
 We should  be meeting with the tiler next week before he starts tiling. Our tiles have been delivered and are sitting in the garage. The water proofing must have been done today. Woohoo...it keeps getting closer and more exciting!

Architraves and Doors

We called in on Friday afternoon to see where they were up to inside.

The carpentry has been done, there's a couple of doors that need to be hung in the laundry and skirtings finished off in the garage. Everything else is done and looks fantastic! Not sure what will happen next week. We might give our SS a call to see what is coming up for us. We never contact our SS and him with us, but I've been reading some forums and have seen that lots of people hear from their SS once a week or more!

Stairs and a kitchen

We have stairs and a kitchen!!! Our stairs in the entry to the kitchen and in our master bedroom have been put in. Our desk in the children's activity was also installed. The kitchen cabinetry has been installed. It's looking amazing already!

I hope that the bathroom cabinetry is installed this week too! It's ready and waiting!
